Alert message sent 16/01/2020 13:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch

Hello,
This is an invitation to an event at Penrith Methodist Church, 10 Wordsworth Street, CA11 7QW on 5th February 2020, from 9.30am. Please see the attached flyer for details about the event.

Do you have any ideas about how people might be better included in social groups or activities?  Do you want to be part of a discussion about how we can all help to reduce loneliness in Penrith?
ACTion with Communities in Cumbria is looking for people who might be interested in looking out for their neighbours.  If that's you, please get in touch with me, Jemma.  You may have your own ideas but a couple of examples include organising a coffee morning for a handful of people in your community who might not usually get out, or getting a group together to do some gardening for neighbours who need some extra help.  We’ll also be at the Loneliness event in Penrith on 5th February.
On the day, people will put forward topics which they want to discuss and there will be a set of discussion groups around those topics.  Discussions will start at 9.30am, coffee & lunch will be available and you’re welcome to stay until 4pm.  If you’re interested in attending, please call Amy on 01768 812660 or email Amy.Frith@cumbria.gov.uk
Jemma
