Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association Annual Conference - Saturday 14 October 2017
Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association (CNWA) is inviting members and non-members to their annual conference and Annual General Meeting this Saturday, 14 October, in Workington.
CNWA Chair Joe Murray QPM said: “We would be delighted to see anyone with an interest in helping to keep our communities in Cumbria safe come along to our conference. It would be a great opportunity for people to see what we do in CNWA, and what part they could play in their own local areas.
“This year’s theme is ‘Community Safety and Partnership Workshop – Building Confidence in Communities’. Speakers include Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall, who will reflect on his time in office so far and look at the challenges ahead. We will also hear from Chief Superintendent Andy Towler of Cumbria Constabulary who will give a talk on neighbourhood policing.”
“Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall said: “Please do come along if you can for what I am sure will be an interesting morning. It is a great opportunity to find out what you can do to help promote safety in your own communities. I often say that keeping Cumbria safe is about ‘we, not they’ – and the more we work together to help prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, the better for all.”
The conference will be held at The Oval Centre, Salterbeck, Workington, CA14 5HA, between 09:45 – 12:30. Lunch and the opportunity to network will follow.
Please contact Joe Murray on email@example.com if you wish to attend.
