Scam Parking Ticket

Alert message sent 10/10/2017 13:11:00

Information sent on behalf of Cumbria Police

Ulverston Police would like residents to be aware of a recent scam parking fine that has been placed on vehicles parked on the highway in Ulverston.  Official looking ‘Penalty Charge Notice’ Bags containing a ‘Penalty Charge Ticket’ have been fixed to some vehicles in Ulverston, these tickets are from a firm called ‘Parkhorse’ who are members of the ‘Just Parking Association’.  This is somewhat unusual as on street parking in the SLDC area is managed by Cumbria County Council and payments would be made to them, not to 5-10 Elms West In Sunderland which looks to be a series of residential flats in Street View.  Times are clearly hard for Parkhorse as well as working out of a residential street they don’t appear to have paid their phone bill on the strange 0 and ten 7’s number and their website strangely takes me to an ebay page.  But then very much like the parking association they are members of they have very little online presence.

If you have a ticket from them bin it!
